The  festival gourmet salad is a delightful mixture of ingredients, including a select mix of different shapes and colors of lettuce. Only the most tender ingredients are used, which gives this salad a soft texture that adds a healthy pop of color to any dish.

This mix has two varieties of lettuce: Oak leaf and Endive. Oak leaf lettuce is characterized by round leaves, even size, crunchy texture, mild flavor, and beautiful appearance.

This type of lettuce can have different colors, from bright green to dark red with bright green tips, or “Mondai.” Endive has compact greens with pointy leaves, even size, crisp texture, mild to medium flavor, and very pleasing appearance. This type of lettuce has a variety of colors, too, from bright green “Frilly” to bright red “Amandine.”

What is in a wedge salad?

Season dressing generously with kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper, and more vinegar, if needed. Cut 1 small head of iceberg lettuce into 4 wedges; place on plates and spoon dressing over. Top with bacon, 1/4 thinly sliced small red onion, and more crumbled blue cheese and chopped chives. 1.

Gourmet salad is washed and ready to eat, and should be refrigerated. Each package has been designed to keep its ingredients fresh. Keep away from vegetables and fruits that produce ethylene to prevent ripening. We recommend saving any leftover vegetables in your refrigerator, with as little air as possible in the original bag.

  • Optimal storage temperature: 33°F to 40°F
  • Humidity: 95 to 100%
  • Does not produce ethylene, but is sensitive to ethylene exposure.
